Entries for the 2018 Scenic World UTA951 will open 10AM, 13th September 2017 (Australian Eastern Standard Time -Sydney time)





The Scenic World UTA951 Stair Race is a 1.2km time trial up the iconic Furber Steps.
With starts held over a one hour period on Friday afternoon (starts from 4pm to 5pm) and Saturday morning (starts from 9am to 10am), the Scenic World UTA951 will have a running leaderboard that will see people heading back to the stairs for multiple cracks at the this lung busting climb.

Entry includes a one-way ticket on Scenic Railway to transport you down to the start line at the Scenic Railway lower station.

ENTRY DETAILS AND CONDITIONS

  • Entry purchases must select a race day during online entry; either Friday (starts from 4pm to 5pm) or Saturday (starts from 9am to 10am).
  • You may not compete more than once per day
  • If you can no longer participate in the event, refer below to Transfers, Cancellations & Refunds section for your available options

ONLINE ENTRIES

Entries are taken online only via this website. Online entries open on Wednesday 13th September 2017 at 10AM Australian Eastern Standard Time. Online entries for Scenic World UTA951 close 11.59pm 16th March 2018. The entry system is the same as used since 2015 so if you have entered the event from 2015 onwards, the system will recognise you and you can use the same email address and password to login and enter.

You will receive a confirmation email once you are entered. Note that if you registered with a Hotmail address, the confirmation email will always be found in the 'Junk' folder. If you entered with a Gmail address, the confirmation will usually be found in either the 'Promotions' folder or 'Updates' folder. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 10 minutes of entering the race, check these various folders or 'Spam' folders. Also check the email address used to enter is correct. To resend your confirmation email, see instructions below under 'Amending Your Entry Details'.

There is a limit of 100 entries per day for this event.

AMENDING YOUR ENTRY DETAILS

You can log back into your entry at any time up until 9pm Sunday 13th May to amend any personal details and race specific details except your name, date of birth and gender. You can only amend your name, date of birth and gender online within two weeks of creating your entry system (Event Plus) profile. If you do need to change your name, date of birth or gender after this two week period has passed, please email entries@ultratrailaustralia.com.au. Note that you can change all other personal details and race specific details online including email address, medical conditions, phone number, emergency contact, address etc.

To log back into your entry:
  • Click on the 'User Profile' button in the top right hand corner of the Ultra-Trail Australia website.
  • Enter your email address and click 'Continue'.
  • Enter your password and click 'Continue'.
  • Click on 'Personal Details' under your name in the left hand side menu.
  • Proceed to check / amend your personal details including email address, name, date of birth, Gender, Occupation, Postal address and phone numbers.
  • Click on 'Save' which takes you to your event specific details within the event entry form.
  • Proceed to check, add or amend your event specific details including emergency contact details, medical conditions, etc before 9pm 13th May.
  • Click the blue 'Continue' button at the bottom of the page.
  • You can then check your registrations and get another email confirmation sent to you.
  • When you are completely finished, click on your name on the top right hand side of the page and choose 'logout'.

TRANSFERS, CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There is no requirement to have completed any other particular event in order to participate in the Scenic World UTA951. There is no minimum age requirement, however, children under the age of 12 must participate with a parent or nominated carer and must stay with them during the duration of the race. The course has very steep sections on stairs, dirt and rock and sections that are rough under foot. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are fit enough to complete the event. Ensure that you are in good health and that you do not have any illness that will hinder your ability to complete the event. It is your responsibility to monitor your health and condition during the event and to withdraw from the event if you are no longer fit enough to continue.

Please read and understand the Indemnity & Release Form. You do NOT need to print and sign this form as you will electronically sign this when you enter online and sign in again at Race Check-In to show you have read and understood this form.

INSURANCE

The organiser of the Event, AROC Sport, has public liability insurance cover. This does not include personal accident insurance for competitors. We recommend that you arrange your own personal accident insurance, ambulance cover and income protection insurance before participating in the Event to cover any unforeseen personal costs you may incur due to ambulance trips, medical expenses or time off work due to injuries sustained whilst participating in the Event. International participants should take out travel insurance that provides cover for ultra-trail running events.
