Entry Details

Entries for the 2019 Ultra-Trail Australia 100 will open 10AM, 26th September 2018 (Australian Eastern Standard Time -Sydney time)

Entries are taken online only via this website. Online entries to all races open on Wednesday 26th September 2018 at 10AM Australian Eastern Standard Time. The entry system is the same as used since 2015 so if you have entered the event from 2015 onwards, the system will recognise you and you can use the same email address and password to login and enter.

Entries for the event usually sell out in 1 day so if you are desperate for an entry you should get in as soon as you can after the opening time. If you will be away from a computer during the opening time but you are desperate to get an entry immediately then you will need to ask a friend or family member to enter the race for you. Your friend will need all of your details as required in the online entry form. View the details required for the online entry form. Please note that places cannot be reserved for anyone as this would not be fair to other people also trying to get an entry.

You will receive a confirmation email once you are entered. Note that if you registered with a Hotmail address, the confirmation email will always be found in the 'Junk' folder. If you entered with a Gmail address, the confirmation will usually be found in either the 'Promotions' folder or 'Updates' folder. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 10 minutes of entering the race, check these various folders or 'Spam' folders. Also check the email address used to enter is correct. To resend your confirmation email, see instructions below under 'Amending Your Entry Details'.

There is a limit of 1500 entries for the 100km event.

All runners who enter the 100km and 50km will receive a special edition Ultra-Trail Australia technical t-shirt (2018 shirt pictured below) at Race Check-In during event week. When you enter the event, you will be asked to specify your t-shirt size. You MUST collect your t-shirt during Race Check-In by showing your race pack which you would have just collected. Please make sure to specify your correct t-shirt size during race entry as there will be only limited opportunity to make size exchanges at the event.

The 2019 women's event t-shirt sizes and cuts are identical to the women's t-shirt sizes and cuts from the last 3 years.

The 2019 men's event t-shirt sizes and cuts are identical to the men's t-shirt sizes and cuts from the last 3 years.

Refer to the size chart below:

You can log back into your user profile / online entry form at any time (via the User Profile button at the top of this webpage) right up until 7pm the day before the race to amend any personal details and race specific details except your name, date of birth and gender. You can only amend your name, date of birth and gender online within two weeks of creating your entry system (Event Plus) profile. If you do need to change your name, date of birth or gender after this two week period has passed, please email entries@ultratrailaustralia.com.au. Note that you can change all other personal details and race specific details online including email address, support crew information, medical conditions, phone number, emergency contact, address etc. You can only amend your start group seeding information up until your start group is approved or by March 15, 2019 at the latest. If you have 'No Seeding' selected as your start group seeding option within your entry form on March 15, 2019, you will automatically be seeded into the last start group.

Note that there are two places which ask for your mobile phone number. One is on the ‘Personal Details’ page and one is within the ‘In race contact details’ on the event entry form. This way, you can have a different mobile number in the race to your normal phone number. This may be particularly useful for international runners. International runners who are buying a local SIM card once they arrive into Australia, should update their 'User Profile' with their new mobile phone number. International runners should also make sure to update their 'User Profile' with a local contact or hotel where they are staying in Katoomba.

If you do have a new normal mobile phone number and plan to use this in the race, remember to update the mobile phone number on both the ‘Personal Details’ page and within the event entry form.

There is no requirement to have completed any other particular event in order to participate in Ultra-Trail Australia 100. Having previous experience in other large participation ultra trail running events will however help with the start group seeding process. Minimum age is 18 years old. You also need to be an experienced trail runner and must be sufficiently skilled and trained to undertake the event. The course is very tough and demanding with remote sections that can result in slower first aid / rescue response times. It is a combination of fire trail and narrow walking tracks including some very steep sections on staircases, on ladders, on dirt and on rock and sections that are rough under foot. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are fit enough to complete the event which may take you up to 28 hours to finish. Ensure that you are in good health and that you do not have any illness that will hinder your ability to complete the event. It is your responsibility to monitor your health and condition during the event and to withdraw from the event if you are no longer fit enough to continue.

Please read and understand the Indemnity & Release Form. You do NOT need to print and sign this form as you will electronically sign this when you enter online and sign in again at Race Check-In to show you have read and understood this form.

The organiser of the Event, AROC Sport, has public liability insurance cover. This does not include personal accident insurance for competitors. We recommend that you arrange your own personal accident insurance, ambulance cover and income protection insurance before participating in the Event to cover any unforeseen personal costs you may incur due to ambulance trips, medical expenses or time off work due to injuries sustained whilst participating in the Event. International participants should take out travel insurance that provides cover for ultra-trail running events. For information regarding costs of ambulance or helicopter rescue refer to the NSW Ambulance website.
